Remove neckties stains
Neckties got stains.
We do not recommend to use any solvent or chemical to clean your necktie, although both water-soluble stains and oil-based stains may be removed if you do it right with certain chemical or solvent and if you are good at it. For most people, they will probably further damage their neckties. If you really want to, you may try spot remover such as carbon tetrachloride and you should be aware of the risk.
For small stains of your necktie, you may blot area of the stains and let it dry, then carefully and gently scrape the surface of your tie with your fingernail.
If that doesn't work, you may bring your tie to the dry cleaner. Care must be taken and be sure that your silk tie is handled by someone who knows what he or she is doing. Most of the dry cleaners remove the spots but at the same time they press the ties, and it will diminish the overall appearance of the ties. Also if you roll the necktie, it will create a "crease" at each edge. Yet, most people still prefer the cleaned necktie rather than a stained one.
Maybe, it is time to buy a new necktie.
